CPU performance remains stable when games aren't running, but drops sharply when connected. I'm using high performance mode on my Ryzen laptop and have the latest BIOS, yet updates only occur during intensive tasks like gaming or video recording. Normal activities such as Discord or browsing don't affect speed, but playing games or editing software causes noticeable slowdowns.

Additionally, power configurations may be available in the Control Panel. Follow these instructions to check your current settings: open Start, search for "Power & sleep settings," select "Additional power settings," then choose "Change plan settings" next to your selected plan. Proceed to "Change advanced power settings," expand "Processor power management," and set the Maximum processor state to 100%. This allows your CPU to operate at the advertised speeds. Adjust the system cooling policy to Active, save and close the changes, then test if it resolves your problem.

Sure, no problem. Just let me know how you'd like to proceed.

Click the Start menu, select Settings, then navigate to Hardware & Sound, and finally choose Power Options. What plan is displayed?

You can run it in the background while performing demanding CPU tasks. Available as installer or portable format, your choice.

I don't have a TDP or temperature readings. Could you clarify what device or component you're referring to?
