Windows isn't recognizing the microphones on your headphones.
As mentioned in the title, the system isn’t recognizing your microphone and is instead using the one built into your laptop. I’ve attempted to reinstall drivers, updated them through the control panel, checked Windows Update, but I’m unsure what else to try. I’m starting to feel overwhelmed about this issue. The laptop model I have is the Acer Aspire 7 A715-74G.
Your laptop has three 3.5mm jacks, with one for the microphone and one for audio.
and to add on to that These are the drivers i tried downloading and it says that theyre from 2024 but when i check in device manager it stays at 2019 i also cant get the realtek audio console to work https://www.realtek.com/Download/List?ca...enu_id=298 There are also the acer ones that i tried downloading but theyre bat files and im not sure how to run them correctly https://www.acer.com/us-en/support/produ...e_A715-74G
The Realtek console launches automatically upon detecting a connected headset. If it doesn’t, look up Realtek in your start menu. Check whether the jack was functioning before or if this is your first use. Confirm if Windows recognizes your laptop’s built-in microphone.
The jack functioned properly, but I encountered an issue in Valorant. I tried reinstalling the audio drivers, which caused the system to crash. When checking Realtek in the Start Menu, it wasn't listed.
