Hey everyone, I just completed my first PC build and was really excited. Then I attempted to install a brand new Windows 10 from a USB drive using the media tool, but it didn’t work out. I checked everything in the BIOS—switched to legacy mode, adjusted boot order, reset to defaults, tested all USB ports and two different drives—but nothing changed. I’m still stuck in that endless Windows loading screen. After six hours of troubleshooting and checking forums, I couldn’t find a solution. I’m hoping you can help me out. I updated the MSI BIOS to March 2022, maybe that’s the fix? Thanks a lot!

I tried, but the Windows Media Creation tool didn’t let me install through the ISO path because there wasn’t enough disk space. I’m confused about why this happened despite having two drives—32 GB and 64 GB each. I only have a flash drive, yet I thought it would work.

You asked about the behavior when booting from the install USB—whether it freezes immediately or restarts after a restart. You also want to know the exact SSD model, its slot position, and if it appears on the motherboard compatibility list.

The system indicated insufficient space for the ISO drive or the file on the flash drive.

I opened the BIOS without trouble, then after exiting to boot from USB I noticed the Windows logo repeating. The SSD I own is from Amazon: https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B089DNM8LR/ref=...UTF8&psc=1 What compatibility list does it have? I made sure the parts were compatible before purchasing, and my SSD is listed in the BIOS under the first slot on the heatshrink.

The issue you're facing is common. Since you didn't specify the disk used for creating the ISO, it's hard to say if it will work. Using a USB drive with 32GB free space is generally better than relying on your C drive, which is nearly full. Make sure the USB drive is formatted correctly (FAT32) and that you're using the right tools for your operating system.

Most motherboards include sections with verified device lists on their webpages. I’ve looked and found none for your board regarding SSDs on the site. Consider generating a fresh installation media. There might have been an issue. Also, ensure you have ample space on the C drive when making the drive, as temporary files are stored there. Using a newly created drive will help.

I’ll attempt to free up space on the C drive using the ISO file. I’ll let you know once it’s done. Appreciate your help!

Install via USB. Once you have enough room on C: Windows sets up quickly through USB. Avoid using the front panel USB on the case; connect it from the back.
