My perspective from my own experience: None. Norton and McAffee are problematic... they create more issues than they fix. Windows 8 includes Microsoft Security Essentials, which is sufficient if you exercise caution. This means: Avoid downloading software from unreliable sources, keep your applications updated, and protect your browser... In short, these are general recommendations you should follow.

I suggest using Avast. You can access the free version which provides basic protection but works effectively. Alternatively, you might purchase the most affordable license, which is a one-time payment offering good value for the cost.
