I need to decide which VR headset fits my setup. My PC has an i5 7500 and a GTX 1060 with 6GB RAM. Oculus Rift and Touch or HTC Vive are both options. Second-hand purchases are possible; I found an Oculus Rift + Touch with extra censor for 600 euros, while the Vive costs around 750 euros on the webstore. The extra censor might be useful depending on your needs. Let me know if you want more details!

They're using Facebook to monitor your activity, and I've learned HTC Vive performs better. Go for the more affordable option.

For total immersion, try the HTC Vive. If you prefer a more relaxed experience, the Oculus Rift is great for casual use like racing simulations.

The 360 tracking functions well with the Oculus when using an extra censor.

I understand the basics: the Vive suits games that require standing or moving around, often needing a spacious room with ceiling mounts, whereas the Oculus works best in seated gameplay.

I believe the Vive works best in expansive areas where you can move freely—though it doesn’t require such large spaces for deep immersion. If that’s not possible, the Oculus offers a solid alternative.

It should work fine, just confirm the headset isn’t broken when it’s on Craigslist and the lens isn’t scratched or damaged. However, if the price is only a small discount, it could be worth purchasing a new one—though after taxes, used options might actually be more cost-effective.
