I've been worried about this situation for a while. My SD card had full disk encryption using Truecrypt. I accidentally formatted the wrong drive and deleted the encrypted space. The operating system is Windows 7, and the card was either NTFS or FAT32. Do you know any tools that can recover an encrypted volume like this? I really need the data from that card—my backup is outdated and missing recent files. I don’t have a copy of the Truecrypt volume itself, only another copy inside a different encrypted volume.

Refused. Extremely improbable.

Trying similar tools like Recuva or Testdisk works well if you forget the exact one. I’ve recovered quickly before, so it’s worth a try. Encryption doesn’t seem to stop it, does it?

You may attempt the test disk, though I believe it could be completed.

You're suggesting a typo in the phrase and asking what it means. You seem to be referring to a software name you used, possibly a program or tool. The context also mentions scanning with Recuva and low progress on recovering data.

Despite limited storage and a fully encrypted drive, the system managed to locate the data without scanning everything. Still, I remain optimistic!

It seems like you're referring to TestDisk. It's one of the top tools for recovery, and you've had success with it—recovering a 500GB drive is impressive!

I don't remember the name. It isn't on my home computer, sorry. If Recuva is handling it, that's fine! Most folks rely on that or TestDisk.

It’s not free, but I’ll review it after the scan finishes. I managed to recover a small file (1-2GB) that looked like gibberish—it was likely a .FB file related to Truecrypt. I’ll try scanning again with more advanced settings. No chances now.
