I support high frame rates above 60fps just as much as anyone else, but the claim that 30fps is totally unplayable is becoming excessive. It's not perfect, but as long as the game runs smoothly at 30fps, it works fine. This should be surprising for any PC gamer when a title like "PC Gaming Master Racer" exaggerates such a minor issue.
I won’t play a game capped at 30 frames per second. There are two reasons for that. First, my older 580s could handle 4K at 30fps without any issues, so replacing them for free doesn’t make sense. Second, watching at 30fps feels awkward and unpleasant, and I don’t see the point in paying to endure it. If I invest money, I expect a good experience.
It varies from person to person, it's a pretty rough experience for me. Visiting native 40-45 removes all the jittery issues. Back then, 60 frames per second was the norm for decades. It really improved only when we switched to 3D games, and that change happened about 20 years ago. Still, the fact we're still facing these problems two decades later is quite disappointing.
