It felt unsettling switching from 60 frames per second to 30 FPS in games like Witcher 3.
I enjoyed playing Dark Souls at 30fps, though it really cut my playtime short to just a few hours daily. The blurry visuals made me feel uncomfortable. The intense combat was somewhat manageable, but in quicker games the lag and poor vision turned the experience unpleasant compared to what I'm used to at 60fps. You quickly realize these issues.
others enjoy my style, used to playing at very high frame rates like 200-300, but when we switch to a game running at 30 FPS it becomes really tough because our eyes are set for those higher rates. Once we lock in, we have to adapt, which can take some time.
I also appreciate 60 frames per second, as it feels better for my eyes. However, if a game only allows a lower frame rate—like 30 FPS—I still enjoy it without it affecting my experience, such as in Command & Conquer where I keep it steady. Thanks to @Bloodyvalley, @werto165, and @Majestic!
It's not about criticizing games, it's simply a method to include the necessary notes for those who find this frustrating. This list isn't a ranking of poor games, but rather highlights titles that run at 30fps. I mean, Dark Souls is my top pick, though I do get annoyed by that frame rate. EDIT; I was mistaken, Metroid Prime remains my favorite.
