It's not the way it functions, games fetch all data from the storage device to RAM or VRAM during the loading screen, meaning whether the game is saved on an IDE or NVMe doesn't affect gameplay.

I don’t have a solution, yet it operates smoothly here at maximum settings. You might want to compare it with your own rig. My RAM is at 3MHz, but I’m not sure that’s the issue.
It should work well on an SSD, as I’ve noticed a smoother gaming experience beyond just the loading screen.

This is just a trick; in-game storage drives remain inactive unless you copy files or download during playtime.
In any case, the user's PC uses an SSD.
Close all running programs and switch Windows to the "High Performance" power plan.

Yeah, I did both of them and still face frame drops in the 50s that freeze the game.

Yes, to 144. Cant tell you how much FPS i get tho. Dont see a counter (bought it via Wondows Game Pass) and i havent installled any oberservation tool atm. Runs like butter tho. On top, this is a realy good Game. Way better than all the AAA Bullshit they throw at us. Obsidian is putting Bethesda in their Place big time here.
