I enjoy my classic pre-Windows XP titles really. I have more than 140 3.5" diskettes and about 60 5.25" floppies. Edit: Halflife 1, 2+episodes, Portal 1 and Portal 2 were my first purchases. Edit 2: Also, #moddedoriginalXboxMR
Focusing on PC and AAA titles leaves little for me. Perhaps I'll mention CS:GO or Advanced Warfare instead.
The worst game I’ve ever played is honestly the worst of all time. Big Rigs: Over The Road Racing is a mess—completely unfinished and pointless. The patch humor was just a rude joke, though it did fix the grammar issue. I actually own a genuine copy, but it came bundled with some software I won at an auction.
For me, it's Fallout 3. I enjoyed playing it on Xbox and bought it during a Steam sale. It doesn't work on my PC, even after trying Windows 7, 8.0, 8.1 and Windows 10. This is probably the worst purchase I've ever made in gaming. At least the lower-quality ones function.
NFS The Rivals might not be an AAA game, but it's quite disappointing.
It happened that the head broke (the 5.25" FDD is quite delicate), which means another $100 will be needed for a replacement. Also, Apogee Software was the one who introduced me to gaming; this was probably my first purchase (there were many free games back then that were pretty solid): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Ages_...ideo_game)
