The most terrible game you've ever played.
It seems you're noticing how certain games, despite their weak performance, can still feel appealing. The contrast between the quality of the game and its overall reception is frustrating, especially when compared to better-rated titles.
I don't like the player base, I don't like the gameplay, I don't like the graphics and I'm simply not having fun. One might argue that having fun is not the essential component of a game (and I agree, there are a lot of games that make you feel sad, miserable or go "wtf"), but we're talking online-only first-person shooter. For me jumping on an enemy with a rocket launcher in CoD and blowing both of us up to pieces is fun. Painting the underbelly of your jet crimson red with the help of a rooftop sniper in Battlefield is fun. Getting a Market Gardener crit in TF2 is fun. Sitting behind a wall with a gun that shoots anywhere but the crosshair and then getting a face full of flashbang while your team is yelling so loud they're about to eat their mics - not fun.
I hadn't noticed that game before. I didn't play Gearbox or Aliens Colonial Marines.
