The Chrome extension "He's dead Jim!" keeps running despite issues.
So on my Lenovo Y50 (4710HQ with 8gb RAM), I kept seeing "He's dead Jim!" messages repeatedly. It mostly happens when I click links—something that bothers me as an average Reddit user. I now understand the issue is linked to memory or RAM problems, and searching online only brings fixes for systems with less than 2GB RAM. This has been happening randomly; I don’t recall doing anything that could trigger it. Here’s a screenshot of my task manager and another of my extensions. Things I’ve tried: restarting Chrome, closing Chrome from Task Manager, removing or disabling extensions, restarting the PC (EDIT), installing the 64-bit version. If I open around ten new tabs at once—even just a new tab—not visiting any site, about five get the error. It’s really frustrating and has slowed me down significantly over the past few days. So far, nothing has worked, and I’m almost considering a full Chrome reinstall. But I thought it might be worth asking here before dealing with it myself. Can anyone help? If you need more details for troubleshooting, feel free to ask! By the way, it’s Chrome version 44.0.2403.107 (64-bit). BIG EDIT!!!
