It began only recently, just a few days back. Prior to that, it was rare. Now it seems to happen with almost every new tab opened.

The same problem occurred with my 10GB RAM setup... I reinstalled Chrome and it resolved the issue.

Firefox offers superior and more beneficial extensions. Many are now available for Chrome as well. Its built-in tools for web developers are robust, and it includes a developer mode if you prefer. Chrome tends to be quicker in tests, but the gap is usually minor. The key advantage remains that Firefox is open-source, which is its greatest strength. Speaking of updates, it looks like you might need to wait for a new release from Google. Have you considered reinstalling?

If all else fails, I'll check out Chrome Beta.
