The only device linked to Linksys is my dad's computer and TV in the living room. I rely on 90% of the data, especially when others aren't online.

It depends on the ISP—if there are big fluctuations, it might be an issue. Or it could be a problem with your home connection, especially after recent storms that could have caused damage.

Home age doesn't determine how well the line performs. I've noticed homes recently constructed with damaged underground wiring or loose cable connections from poles to houses. That said, this isn't typical here, but don't let a product's age mislead you into thinking it shouldn't work properly.
