What bothers me is whether using a Gen 3 SSD and the top slot's Gen 4 NVMe could lead to problems. But without a display, it seems the issue might be more serious, possibly related to a faulty PCIe connection for the GPU.

All Gen 4 SSDs and GPUs are backward compatible with Gen 3 PCIe connections. This means there will be no problems, and they will operate at the slower data rate. It's strange that the BIOS, after being reset, doesn't detect the CPU as having an integrated GPU. Could it be that the CPU is a F-series model but the system mistakenly identifies it as a standard 12400?

it's a known issue... my first-gen ssd didn't boot after trying to use the gen 3 ssd. I can handle that situation or an hdd might be experiencing problems during the process.
