I own a Dell 5820 Workstation running Windows 11, purchased in October 2022. I haven’t used it for two years due to small font problems. I’m considering giving it another chance, which means downloading the latest updates—a process that could take a long time. Should I proceed with those updates or install Windows from scratch? Dell hasn’t released a Windows 11 disc or image. I would appreciate your advice and expertise on the best approach. Thank you.

You can simply keep it updating all day and/or overnight.
Windows Update generally doesn't disrupt my daily activities or offline gaming.
However, I wouldn't want an OEM version running on my system(s).
I would always install a brand new, directly from Microsoft version of the OS on any pre-built OEM setup.
You should still be able to adjust the font via Settings > Display to any size you prefer.

You're correct about OEM, but finding Fresh Win-11 outside of Microsoft isn't straightforward.

Why not? It's bloatware. I just bought this AW laptop... and I was considering a clean install of W11 Pro to eliminate the excess features.

Windows handles that on its own.

Where can I obtain the Win-11 key?
Dell provided me with a workstation pre-installed with Win-11 (Workstation Version).

This means you can keep it running all night, and it will apply all updates automatically?

Place your PC in sleep mode. Then Windows can wake it without you being there to check for updates. This is the way it functions on my Dell PC.

Remember to save all crucial information at least twice in separate places away from the device. Check that it can be recovered and read properly. I hope everything proceeds smoothly. Still, unexpected events might occur and a broken update could make the system unusable.
