It's best to stop the order and hold off on the 10th gen Intel Core i7 10700K until more information becomes available. There should be notable improvements in performance compared to earlier models.

AMD Ryzen desktop processors (up to the third generation) generally outperform Intel's latest Core desktop CPUs when it comes to multi-threaded tasks, even though Intel still leads in single-threaded performance today. I believe the balance will shift toward better single-thread capabilities once the fourth-generation Ryzen arrives, based on mobile CPU testing. In short: go for the 9700K now and hold off on gaming or AI work until the 10th-gen desktop chips come out if you need those workloads. Alternatively, you can build a Ryzen system with a Ryzen 7 3700X or 3800X, offering good value for money at the moment.
