Great photos. I recently put my 212+ in place over a week ago, and although it was a bit tricky, I discovered a helpful guide on another forum via a Google search. The manual that came with the cooler was just enough, and having this reference made the process much smoother. It’s worth noting the cooler can be mounted both vertically and horizontally, though it isn’t immediately clear from the clamp alone.

Saint19 was surprised to learn the city, noting they reside in Bogota. Overshocked asked about their country, prompting Saint19 to confirm they are from Colombia. 😊

Thank you, I believe you also reside in Colombia.
@overshocked: I wish to purchase a Nikon D60.

^D60 is decent, though a bit expensive for its capabilities. The xti performs well in capturing great photos without needing much insight into the process.

This is my first attempt using a guide and it seems to not be working.
🙁 That's disappointing for me...

It's a solid resource, just because it didn't get stuck doesn't mean it won't attract many views. I've created several guides that haven't been tagged yet, but my "what does what" guide is still performing around 4 to 5 thousand views.

Good work on the guide! The images might be too large for a 1280*1024 monitor though.
Since you opted for the CM Hyper 212+ and just installed it, here are some questions.
What thermal paste should be used? I didn’t apply the CM paste but used AS5 and only applied a very thin layer over the CPU, covering its entire surface.
How should the screws on the retention plate be tightened? (Not the back plate) I didn’t apply too much pressure, just enough to ensure it was securely fastened.
Regarding fan orientation? I installed my fan on the same side as you demonstrated, but instead of pulling air away from the heatsink, I pushed air onto it. This is what I believe is the better approach.

Oh and one more thing since I couldn't edit my last post.
I didn't use the big nut at all on my socket LGA775 motherboard. Should I? Couldn't really see where it was supposed to go.
