This is a very very good idea a bunch of old dells, hps, lenovo's... out there with i5's or i7's and plenty of power for 5 players.

I wouldn't because most offerings don't include modifications, though some provide mod packs and others have custom creations. Not sure about the OP's situation.

Sure, I understand. Creating a tailored modpack is something I’m open to. Using hosted platforms has been challenging for getting modded servers, so I’d prefer managing my own hosting.
