The processor should comfortably manage both FS24 and FS20 while running complex aircraft like the PMDG777, INI350, Fenix 320, especially when paired with a 5070 12GB RAM system.

You already have it, right? Otherwise, I’d advise against the 9600x—it’s not worth the investment. Consider buying a used 7600 or 7700 instead, or opt for a 7800x3d/9800x3d directly.

I don’t possess it and I’m wary of used options.

It’s a great idea to give it a shot. A budget-friendly model such as the ones I referenced makes a solid investment. It saves costs, supports people, and contributes to eco-friendly practices—perfect for a win-win situation.

An SKU stands for Stock Keeping Unit, a code used to track inventory in retail. For MSFS, I’d suggest getting a more specific item or bundle rather than just a generic purchase. As for my experience, I don’t have direct hands-on time with MSFS, but I can share general guidance.

It's just hardware terminology for "model," but with shorter words and a more polished feel. The 9xx chips perform similarly to the 7xx chips in MSFS, yet they're pricier, making it seldom worthwhile. If prices match, then the issue is that the 7xx chip should have been more affordable.

I prefer the latest version, specifically the 9600X in the 7xxx lineup. It can be adjusted similarly to other models and will definitely perform better than the older generation. You don’t require X3D for gaming. I use MSFS 2020 on my setup.

We’d have a comparable setup, using a 5070 and an R5 7600X, maybe a 7900X. Do you enjoy flying aircraft like the Phoenix at Heathrow with beautiful views? If yes, what are your preferred settings and what’s your average FPS?

I’d love to push the 7900X to its limits. I’m content with 60 FPS, settling into the mid-to-low 50s, and sometimes reaching the high 40s based on the landscape and elevation. My preferences...

These are definitely high settings, I'm sure I'll be okay! Thank you a lot.
