Connect your speakers to the audio jack on the Asus monitor, then access the sound settings and right-click to disable both Realtek and BenQ devices. This will direct audio solely to the ASUS speakers. Reattempt the issue to confirm.

In fact, I don’t have a jack connected to either monitors, and ASUS doesn’t include speakers at all. I also use external speakers that aren’t built into the monitors.

Your BenQ monitor includes an audio output port. Connect your external speakers to that port and test it out.
