When I upgrade drivers past 457.51, I notice occasional stuttering noises. The sound tends to appear when the system is under stress, though it can happen without any load. Every driver version above that level seems to cause audio glitches. I’m unsure what triggered this issue, but it began in early January 2022. I’ve been ignoring it for a while since it didn’t affect performance on older drivers, but now it’s becoming noticeable and affecting my experience. My performance is also slow with both old and new drivers. Using GeForce Experience on higher versions reduces the frequency of audio stutter, and disabling NVIDIA ShadowPlay also helps. I’ve tried deleting NVIDIA software and reinstalling drivers, reinstalling the operating system, following YouTube tutorials about audio problems, installing NVIDIA drivers without the audio driver, and even opened a support ticket in May 2022. They haven’t provided much help. I’m not sure if these steps will resolve it, but I can recreate the problem anytime by opening the Steam app. I’m using external speakers connected through a jack. My hardware details are: motherboard ASRock B460 Pro 4, CPU i9-10900F, GPU MSI RTX 2060 Super Ventus GP OC, RAM Goodram IRDM X (2 x 16GB), PSU ZALMAN GigaMax 650W (GVII), OS Windows 10 Pro 21H. What should I do to fix this? Is it a hardware or software problem?
Update your audio chipset drivers. Get the latest from ASRock here: https://download.asrock.com/Drivers/All/...himic).zip
Click the Realtek speakers, then open Properties. Move to the "Advanced" section and capture another image of the settings view.
Deselect the options "Give exclusive mode applications priority" and "Enable audio Enhancements." Proceed to Apply (or use OK if grayed out) and attempt to recreate the stutter issue.
