Hello, thanks for reaching out. I appreciate your time and the detailed information you provided. Over the past year I've noticed some issues with my PC, but I hadn't realized they were becoming serious until now. Recently, while playing Far Cry 4, I reviewed this screenshot (http://gyazo.com/dff5c78fb19ad233f04f2a7e363ceab1). It shows my performance at the lowest settings in 720p, achieving 100% at 1080p high settings with around 30 fps. My specs are: FX 4300 @ 3.8 R9 270x, Gigabyte (FC cooler), 12GB DDR3 ASRock 970 M. I've discovered that the CPU is the main bottleneck, even in games like Minecraft where I was getting about 30 fps. This situation is no longer acceptable—it's approaching console-level performance. The only solutions are upgrading my motherboard and CPU or switching to a better FX chip. I'm curious which path is best: buying an Intel 8350 or investing more for a new motherboard and high-end chip? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Feel free to review the previous discussion. Users with hexas and GTX 980 models are experiencing issues. I’m having trouble at a 4770k with 4.3 ghz. I’d struggle too if I upgraded my OC to 4.6-4.7, which I can likely achieve. Are your CPUs slower? Yes, they are. It would play DA Inquisition (with Mantle) much better than Far Cry 4, though. Far Cry 4 isn’t something I’d upgrade for—especially if you went up to an OC I7. You’d be just as frustrated, honestly. Simply put: that AMD CPU model was slow. Newer games just need a lower-level API, since developers aren’t optimizing enough or taking the time to make games run smoothly on our current Direct X.
This situation prompts consideration of the optimal choice between investing in the current FX 8350 or opting for a more advanced model, which would likely require a new motherboard and cost around $500.
And? It could work on other titles too. We just wish Nvidia decides to support Mantle. His processor remains superior to the one found in consoles. These are 1.6 and 1.75 GHZ AMD chips that are essentially identical, while the PS4 pairs the wrong RAM with its CPU, and the XB1 has mismatched RAM for its GPU. Still, that powerful console can run Far Cry 4 at a locked 30. Many people lack the funds to purchase a complete new motherboard or chip on a whim. The issue here is that his CPU isn’t performing well. My 4770k? It should roll with Far Cry 4, yet it slows down occasionally. Hexas would handle this game and stream 10,000 YouTube videos without a hitch. The drawback is the 8350 model would still struggle. We just need a better API, since even overclocked Intel chips can’t keep up with these newer titles. I’d avoid playing Far Cry on anything except an overclocked I5 at all costs. CPU tuning is simply terrible.
That's a bit unclear, but I'm here to help! Could you provide more details about the context or what you're referring to? This will help me give you the most accurate information.
