My display uses G-Sync enabled at full screen, with the FPS limit confirmed at 100Hz. According to Ryan_Vickers, it could simply be the game being challenging.

It might be linked to your settings... similar to other contemporary titles, performance drops when you raise the resolution.

Significantly lowering the settings should clearly boost the frame rate.

There might be another issue at play. FPS can be limited for various reasons, and syncing to 50 fps is one possibility I've encountered.

<- 2560x1440 maxed + tons of mods. I had to limit my frames to 100 because of lockpicking. His Hardware is fine. It can and does drop in certan Areas because of godrays and shadowdrawdistance tho. I dont see any Problems with 50FPS and Gsync in FO anyway.

I'm curious to see if you're facing the same puzzling issue as the original poster.

Adjust shadow distance for medium, quality medium, and high settings. Reduce godrays. This is my setup at 1440p. Keep above 65, usually around 80.

Navigate to the FO4 folder, press Ctrl+A then Shift+Del, then enter Beyond. You might want to check the Task Manager and increase the priority of FO4.exe above normal to see if it improves performance while gaming. With your current specs, this could be a simple way to test, even though it seems a bit odd.
