Ive played Fallout 4 for many hours till I deleted it now after a re install and no fiddling with the ini files. My game runs awfully I have the settings on ultra and getting around 50fps average. no full screen setting and fov slider wtf!! I was just checking with others to confirm its not just me who's having problems with fallout 4 vinilla. Any suggestions for fixes welcome . Specs: CPU: Intel core i7 6700k (OC 4.6ghz) CPU Cooler:Corsair H110i GTX Motherboard: ASUS Z170 Deluxe RAM: Kingston DDR4 HyperX Fury 16gb (2x 8gb) 2666MHz GPU:EVGA GTX 980Ti Classified (OC) SSD:Kingson HyperX Savage 240gb HDD:WD 3TB Black PSU: Corsair HX850i Monitor: Acer predator x34 100hz

I understand the vibe. I need to play 1080p medium since the stuttering and weirdness kept getting worse after an update.

Yeah even with the ini files modded to the correct resoluton and settings at medium

Consider lowering some parameters instead of using maximum settings.

It's unlikely you could play that game smoothly even at 1080p on that system. The hardware isn't great for demanding games, especially outside city centers. Lower the settings to improve performance.

I lowered the settings to medium and it remained at 50fps. It seems my graphics card could manage more, possibly because the game restricts it to a fixed frame rate.

Check for VSync activation in-game, NVIDIA control panel, and global FPS limits via Rivatuner, NVIDIA Inspector. Verify monitor output settings for correct refresh rate.
