I don't rely on vanilla godrays and shadows, so "maxed" isn't fully accurate. Mods usually look and perform better. I recall vanilla godrays weren't as optimized.

There is a Godrays "fix" on nexusmods which gives you much better performance from Ultra godrays, and doesn't make them look much worse. Also check out ShadowBoost, it dynamically changes shadow draw distance depending on your desired framerate. Shadows are a HUGE framerate killer in Fallout 4, so cutting the shadow distance does a lot for performance.
