Windows 8.1 was quite an issue at first, but then I tried Chrome. My storage jumped from a few gigabytes to around 20MB. Still, I don’t have to worry too much about it.

Yep. Even with Chrome MURDERS on my G3258, I still had it running at 4.6GHz. Firefox performed better—about 30 tabs open on my Dell with Puppy Linux, swapping around 300MB and using roughly 600-700MB of RAM. Safari works smoother than Chrome, and overall speed feels similar. I tried it on a m netbook before the drivers crashed; it was smooth. Except for some Metro apps that didn’t launch and most others running poorly.
