I use Revo uninstaller. I plan to remove HWMonitor using it and keep testing. Does HMMonitor need to be open or running for it to cause the problem? I'm just trying to figure out if that's the real issue.

I would request a refund and choose another brand.
Purchase a different product and avoid starting work on it, as it isn't their issue.

It seems like you're trying to recall details about a recent issue, possibly regarding a machine freezing shortly after activation. The context suggests you're reflecting on its behavior.

Have you considered using a memory tester on your device? That would be my next move. This is the second laptop in this 2025 Rog 18 series that has experienced this issue. I'm curious if there was a faulty batch of RAM modules. My curiosity drives me to investigate further, even though I still have time to return it for a refund from the store.

I considered that as well, but what's the better option? Most of the newest premium laptops are built on the 5000 series, which is still relatively new and somewhat unstable—meaning similar problems could arise with other manufacturers too. It seems like either adapt to the situation or hold off until the situation improves.

I also performed a hard disk and RAM check. No problems were detected.

It's accurate. I think I'll continue testing with it until it's nearer to my return date.
I share the same view—I'm still within my return window, so I'll make sure to use it if necessary.

If you receive 2 and neither works while they push you to fix it, it's enough to say forget about Asus. It should arrive in working condition, not cause trouble.

You've already received two versions with issues. Did you purchase it for functionality or just for use?

Can't dispute it. But as the OP mentioned, the geek part of me can't just relax—there must be something we're overlooking. I hope the problem is really simple, like a broken HwMonitor software that doesn't support the new processors and GPUs, which might be causing the issue.
I'll provide an update tomorrow after testing the machine for a full day.
