Is a Core i7 7th gen computer okay?
Is a Core i7 7th gen PC enough for playing games? Yes, it's pretty good. I'm buying this PC soon and want some advice since I know almost nothing about computers. Please let me know if anyone has experience with them or needs help. Thanks so much in advance!
"Good" just means different things sometimes. This CPU was really good back in 2017 when it launched, but it's been way too long since then. It might struggle a lot with newer games that need a lot of power. Think about Indiana Jones and the Great Circle or Clair Obscur; those are pretty recent titles and they list their minimum needs higher than this CPU has now. So if you want to play those new ones, it won't cut it. However, if you're playing older AAA hits or newer games that don't need so much power, this one will probably do a great job for you.
The cost of buying something often decides if you can do what you want. And usually, a graphics card (GPU) will matter way more than just the processor (CPU) when playing games.
