I can't move to the Ryzon yet because my dad gave me an i7, so I'm waiting to try undervolting and running at normal speeds to see if it stays stable. 🤣 This is probably going to be my final year on Team Blue.

How much are you charging for this setup? Did you put together the graphics card on your own, or does it come all-in-one? Do you have those details handy so I can check them out?

I wouldn't purchase a seventh-generation Intel Core i7 today.

Maybe I would buy one in that price spot, but only if there was a real reason why I needed it.

I'd rather avoid buying something without Win11, but I'm not a rule follower.

It looks like there are many different things to think about if you want something on a budget or what the story is about. If it's just a laptop for games or a PC tower, going with one would be good. I run my i7 7700k for recording audio, gaming, and browsing the internet. I can play all these recent titles at decent frame rates. If someone wants to buy an i5 they should know more about it too. Also it was mentioned in the discussion that it doesn't come with Windows 11 natively but Microsoft has a real trick using REGEDIT to make it work.

We don't know what market or money the OP has here, so I wouldn't want to jump in there either. But tech is pretty cheap around me, and I can save some to get something better. In places where tech costs a lot and people earn only a few dollars every day, it's different. If a 7th gen i7 is their best option and they have a decent GPU, then it will work well for gaming for a while without breaking the bank.

I get that new tech costs more to buy outside the US, but a Ryzen 5 2600 isn't any pricier here and it works with Windows 11. It also has better speed when doing many things at once compared to an i7 7700 non-K, which costs over $50 on eBay. These are actually under $40 right now.
