It seems modern titles often skip traditional anti-aliasing upgrades like MSAA at higher settings. Many games now rely more on FXAA or TAA, which can make the visuals feel less sharp and even produce a JPEG-like appearance. Some players still enjoy 1080p with high refresh rates and G-Sync, but good anti-aliasing is crucial for clarity. Even with powerful hardware like my GTX 1080, I struggle to get noticeable improvements on 144Hz displays. For BF1, I’m limited to what’s available—no easy way to boost performance or smoothness. The situation has changed over the years; now most games are optimized differently, and options for customization are fewer.

I've seen this pattern a lot—people keep pushing for AA again. It's confusing why these choices remain popular despite most folks moving on. What do you think is the real reason?

Because games appear dull when missing elements, should you remove them if they aren't usable or if they slow things down?

MSAA adds extra load, while alternative methods perform well with minimal GPU usage.

Deferred rendering isn't compatible with MSAA, which is a significant issue. I'd love for SMAA to become more widely used instead of FXAA. Haha, that's quite a joke!

Choose any option that feels too complicated but still has a nice appearance. The performance versions don’t look great—some overlap too much, while others appear fuzzy in certain areas.

I noticed something that distorts the moving scene, which isn’t what I like. TXAA works well, though. EDIT: I’m trying not to mention TXAA as the one I described earlier.

All of them have disabilities for BF1, so I can only use the application settings. The newest drivers are available.
