So I keep hearing that people are struggling with the I5-8600k and overclocking without significantly increasing the voltage. I've been running at 4.7 ghz for about a month after taking it out of its limits for hours, and I'm 100% stable. My temperatures never go above 55°C even at around 90% load. The H100i v2 is my cooler. Do I just get lucky with the CPU, or are the forums misinforming me?
if you don't require such a strong processor, consider using it for fun with your CPU. you might sell it at a good price to someone else and purchase the same one later.
someone hit the silicon lotto and had fun with your CPU if you don’t need such a strong one—maybe sell it at a high price and buy another one instead.
In truth, I really wish for an I7-8700k. I chose the cooler CPU temperature because my case only allows a radiator to blow in. I can’t have all that hot air blowing on my 1080ti and z370F.
😉
Negatives of having a micro build. I haven’t found a case with good airflow and a cool look.

Negatives of having a micro build. I can’t find a case with great airflow and that looks flashy.
What are you doing with that CPU? Lmao

Negatives of having a micro build are clear. I’m struggling to find a case with good airflow and a cool look.

In games like The Witcher, I get full CPU usage and some serious stuttering. I just think a top GPU should go hand in hand with a powerful processor.
Execute cpu-Z.
Perform a stress test application.
CPU-Z should display the core speed at 4700mhz and the vcore (labeled core VID) accurately.
If it reads around 1.00, you've achieved a golden chip and can proceed further.
Run cpu-Z and stress app. CPU-Z should display core speed at 4700mhz and vcore correctly labeled. If it shows around 1.00, you’ve got a golden chip and can push further. Do you have anything else besides CPU-z to download? I really don’t want to go from Cupid.
