So I keep hearing that people are struggling with the I5-8600k and overclocking without significantly increasing the voltage. I've been running at 4.7 ghz for about a month after taking it out of its limits for hours, and I'm 100% stable. My temperatures never go above 55°C even at around 90% load. The H100i v2 is my cooler. Do I just get lucky with the CPU, or are the forums misinforming me?

if you don't require such a strong processor, consider using it for fun with your CPU. you might sell it at a good price to someone else and purchase the same one later.

someone hit the silicon lotto and had fun with your CPU if you don’t need such a strong one—maybe sell it at a high price and buy another one instead.
In truth, I really wish for an I7-8700k. I chose the cooler CPU temperature because my case only allows a radiator to blow in. I can’t have all that hot air blowing on my 1080ti and z370F.
😉
Negatives of having a micro build. I haven’t found a case with good airflow and a cool look.

In truth, I really want an I7-8700k. I chose the cooler CPU temperature because my case only supports a radiator blowing inwards. I can’t have all that hot air blowing on my 1080ti and z370F. 😉
Negatives of having a micro build. I can’t find a case with great airflow and that looks flashy.
What are you doing with that CPU? Lmao

Is it accurate that you are interpreting the vcore correctly?
1.000 appears inconsistent.
As of 12/01/2017, what percentage of I5-8600k chips can handle an aggressive vcore of 1.4 or higher and a delidded 4.9 at 98%, 84%, 65%, 38%, and 13% respectively?

someone mentioned playing with the silicon lotto using your CPU if you don't need such a strong one; maybe sell it at a higher price and buy another one.

In games like The Witcher, I get full CPU usage and some serious stuttering. I just think a top GPU should go hand in hand with a powerful processor.

Execute cpu-Z.
Perform a stress test application.
CPU-Z should display the core speed at 4700mhz and the vcore (labeled core VID) accurately.
If it reads around 1.00, you've achieved a golden chip and can proceed further.

Run cpu-Z and stress app. CPU-Z should display core speed at 4700mhz and vcore correctly labeled. If it shows around 1.00, you’ve got a golden chip and can push further. Do you have anything else besides CPU-z to download? I really don’t want to go from Cupid.

Is there an issue with cpud? What tools are you using now to check vcore? You might also want to try Intel XTU. Could the 1.000 value represent the original vcore rather than the one active during overclocking?
