It seems like you're expecting a prediction of six.

Are you asking about whether to consider just the core or also the number of threads? I have an older dual Xeon workstation with 32 cores and 64 threads.

It could be slightly affected by Intel 12th generation and newer processors with their e-Cores.

Refers to the overall collection across all hoards or only the ones used for daily operations.

I possess over 30 processors, mainly older 775 dual-core units and some 45nm 1366 chips (w3670, w3680 I7 980X). I haven’t assembled a full system yet since I’m still figuring out how far my X58A UDR can reach with 5/6 sticks. I’m not stopping at 2400 MHz or less.

Only the core numbers matter, not the threads. However, you're right—multiple choices are possible for several machines too!
