for everyday use just two, since I’m running an X230 but I still bench on other CPUs. Most of the unused ones are because they’re mediocre or just junk bins I don’t want to overclock. I mainly focus on my W3680, W3670 and W3503—two for 2800+ triple channel stability, and one for DDR3 3400+ so another 14 cores. The ones I don’t actively bench but use occasionally include my i7 930 for 2800+ dual channel and my E8400 when I play around with 775. These are pretty standard chips; my E8400 tops out at about 4.32GHz at 1.34V, and the 930 reaches roughly 3300 for max frequency. If we count them, that adds another 6 cores. I also have an X5650 in a failed X58 build I’m planning to sell, plus some random E5000 (E5700/5800?) in a tower that holds my G31M S2C, which I’m too lazy to take out. That’s another 8 cores.
I'm really sorry about missing Intel's P and E numbers. I'll make sure to include Intel in the next poll.
The main PC uses an i9-10900X with 10 cores, which isn’t listed in the survey, so I’m unable to participate. The other devices I own have 4, 6, or 8 cores.
I find myself questioning why my bot profile lists 146 CPUs, knowing there are multiple versions in the list. The one I’m using has a total of 6 cores.
