Hmm, what's the point of putting Windows on a drive that already has Windows? Have you ever installed Windows on a computer before? Make sure your BIOS is updated. Pick your USB stick as the boot option. Start installation from there and format the SSD if needed. If you hit a snag, tell me exactly where things go wrong. And if the seller mentioned problems during setup, it probably wasn't a good idea to buy it then.

I attempted that but it didn’t work. I plan to remove the SSD and install it on another computer, then reinstall it to check its performance.

It didn’t have any windows initially; it was running Linux. When I attempted to install Windows, it blocked me and displayed a crash message right after the Asus setup screen.

Consider using another USB flash drive. A few BIOS/MBs can be tricky, especially older ones with worn parts. If Linux sets up, Windows should work too.
