You just reversed your position, claiming no benefit while also arguing it isn’t dishonest.
Comparing 4:3 stretched to 16:9 1080p only increases screen size without improving gameplay significantly. It's similar to enlarging text for better visibility—it helps you spot details more easily, like seeing a character's expression clearer. Pun intended.
I disagree that it does I don't think there is an advantage, but it effectively lets you change FOV which is not allow .. so why is monitor stretching allowed? its doing a similar task as decreasing your FOV to make the player models appear larger Personally I think having greater peripheral vision and smoother mouse movement are WAY more beneficial than slightly bigger player models I will never understand the 4:3 stretched thing
