Thanks all for your feedback. I'll consider heatpads too. It seems the problem might be related to the Brave browser. I've tested the same sites in multiple tabs using Firefox, and heating stays within normal temperature ranges—well below 70°C. The issue appears only with Brave. I'm glad I haven't damaged my drive after using Brave for over a year while streaming for hours.
I'm actually keeping it on a cooling pad, sorry for missing that.
It experienced those temperatures today while it was on and off the cooling pad.
It seems others experienced the same problem with these temperatures on their controller for the same SSD. I'm planning to test the other drive to check if it repeats the issue. It might be related to the Samsung Phoenix controller in this model, depending on write activity.
My 980 model doesn't have DRAM and runs on another controller, so it seems more suitable for this laptop.
