Also this version employs the Pablo controller instead of the Phoenix controller, which results in reduced power consumption.
I've tried it on the 980 and temperatures stabilize around 69°C, so I'll keep using this drive in my laptop. Fortunately, Samsung approved my RMA for the 970; perhaps the Brave browser and Phoenix controller on that model are responsible since others have reported similar temps. Based on how long it's been running in this setting, there might be additional damage to the NAND memory from both high temperatures and frequent use of Brave.
