No, it wasn't working properly before you changed the CPU.

He purchased it without the CPU to keep it a secret. Offering a PC without the CPU is quite unusual, in my view.

The device wasn't equipped with a CPU at the time of purchase.

He purchased it from another source and acquired the CPU for his own machine.

It could mean the processor isn't compatible, possibly restricted by the BIOS settings.

Please verify the original CPU specifications and compare them to the current setup. The performance has changed significantly from 3600g/3600x to 5600g/5600x.

That's odd indeed. A 5600G isn't particularly strong or impressive enough to justify purchasing an entire system just for it, especially if you're concerned about getting a defective build. It seems like you might have been misled into buying something faulty. I don't believe a 3600G was ever available.

They don't seem to agree on the specs either, but that's what the original poster said. A 5600g and an rx 5500 combination is unusual. Was it a 4600g or an older CPU? It might have been an older model, and the OP added a 5600x without updating the BIOS—making the rest more plausible.

I specified the incorrect CPU; the initial build includes a 5600G. Because it wasn’t included, I purchased one from Best Buy—a 5600X. The pre-built version contains all its original parts.
