Getting Apipa IP each time you begin your PC
Principal Router: The version 3890 v3 is set up, and based on the gateway model, it seems like you're referring to 192.168.0.1. @Falcon1986 Correct, my main router is a device running in default mode. I haven't made any changes; I just use it to forward ports for testing apps or services.
That is the LAN IP address. Check the label on the gateway device directly. This could be the cause of your issue. You shouldn't have more than one router active in default router mode on the same network, or you may encounter NAT problems. Consider switching the ISP device to bridge mode and use the main router in its default setting, or keep the ISP device in its default mode and change the main router to switch/AP mode.
I would reach out to your ISP to discuss the issue. I wasn't able to locate a clear method for factory resetting the device unless you provided specific guidance. Most of the information I found was in different languages. Edit: @Falcon1986 Ah, if you have several routers, you might run into complications there.
I searched for device documentation but found the same issue. I’m hoping my ISP can resolve it—I’ll share the fix once I have it. The router label only lists the login details, so I’m checking the repeater first. Regarding bridge mode: setting it up correctly lets you use Ethernet from your main router, but you’ll need to connect the bridge device properly on the other network.
Check if the Sagemcom F@ST 3890v3 is set as your router between your PC and ISP device. Your Google results indicate it functions as a cable gateway. You can enable “Bridge mode” via the Status or Advanced settings on the gateway/modem.
Sorry for the delayed reply; I've been occupied and unwell recently. As you mentioned, my PC is linked to my router, which acts as the ISP gateway. I spoke with my ISP, who provided some excuses, but yesterday they announced a router replacement—perhaps that will resolve the issue.
