XP was quick enough... I still use it to run some old games like 3D Pinball on Windows XP... Browsing the web is a real pain... The biggest file I could manage was a flash game, over 200MB when loaded completely (it's divided so only essential parts are preloaded)... It runs at a smooth 15 frames per second.
