Set up OS X 2. Use Safari 7 for top JS speed and rendering performance.
Upgrade to Firefox 2 – it outperforms Chrome significantly after the latest update.
Try Opera 2 – it mimics Chrome but runs slower.

It turned into Chrome a while ago... It retains its light weight trait, using significantly less memory than Chrome. Still, it can cause issues with my Satellite A60... The downsides of the 256MB DDR1 RAM setup...
