I’m unsure how to clear the CMOS on my motherboard—I have CMOS+PW and followed HP’s steps but nothing worked. Maybe I’m doing it wrong... Could you help?
Locate the flat round battery on your motherboard, remove it for about 5 minutes, then reinstall.
I tried this before and couldn’t capture a picture of the CMOS inside the board, but you can try guiding me. I also have a CMOS jumper and the battery.
Disconnect the computer, remove the CMOS battery, let it sit for a while, then reinsert the battery and power the computer back on.
