Hello Everyone, I'm experiencing serious FPS problems with Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. I run the game at full resolution with PhysX enabled on low settings. In some areas I drop to 25, but sometimes it goes as low as 30. Usually I’m around 40-50, though in certain spots it hits 90+ or higher. It’s really annoying when my friend has a high-end setup and still doesn’t see the same performance. I think my CPU might be the issue—should I upgrade to an Intel i5-4690K, swap my motherboard for an MSI Z97, and maybe get a MSI 970? My PC is around 65-70 temperatures, so that’s probably not the main problem. It could also be that Borderlands hasn’t been fully optimized yet for this version. PC specs: GTX 770 Zotac AMD 8350, ASUS M5 A97, motherboard, Windows 8.1.

You're not alone in finding those titles standout. While Borderlands 2 and the Pre Sequel are great, other games can deliver similar satisfaction on your setup.

Looks like the problem might be with the CPU since your system runs smoothly on Borderlands 2.

It might be because it's still in beta. Would you try connecting it as well? (I noticed that, I can push the bl2 limit on my Pentium G3258 and 280 without problems—seems like your CPU isn't managing it well.)

I get standard frames and I run the game at a consistent setting.

Bl2 performs slightly better with frames, though it still lags significantly.

That’s strange. You mention running at 1080p maximum as expected, but you’re wondering where your resources are being used in the background. It seems like there might be insufficient RAM or the system is undergoing defragmentation. Usually, once unlocked, it should stabilize around 90–95 frames per second.

Thinking you might have tried the DLC, I went straight to Dragon Keep. To my surprise, it seems to offer a solid, demanding zone.
