I’m not facing any problems with my 8320. The lowest frame rate I hit was about 50fps during intense scenes with lots of enemies and explosions, which was actually quite uncommon for that hardware. Even my friend using an FX 6100 had no issues, and we completed the game smoothly.

This explains the high frame rates you're seeing and confirms it's a PhysX problem causing the significant drops in FPS. Running the game on the lower PhysX setting kept FPS above 70fps, even with large groups of Shuggarath. The 'high' setting still caused worse drops but not extreme slowdowns. With the 'high' setting, I usually hit around 50fps in tough areas and saw a 35fps drop when under fire from a turret. The 'Ultra' mode is particularly problematic, bringing my two GTX 770 graphics cards down to 13fps. It's unclear why others are experiencing issues with the low setting, but I'd monitor temperatures and CPU usage closely while gaming. If problems remain, consider disabling PhysX via a third-party tool to test its impact.

It's quite fascinating, your Mac with a GT 750m can run Physx on ultra without overheating, though you might want to skip it until you're dealing with the problem.

Someone, can you assist me with this? I'm using an i7-4790k and two GTX 780 graphics cards in SLI. My Borderlands pre-sequel is capped at 60 FPS, but when I run on one card it goes up. Why does that happen?
