I've been considering ways to maximize the performance of my 2017-built system, which has been stable for over four years. The current overclock settings have held up well after updates, and I haven't experienced any crashes or errors during testing. It seems I may have slightly increased the CPU voltage during initial setup. If you can share a screenshot, it would help. I'm curious about the latest specs and performance numbers to get a clearer picture. Would it make sense to focus on RAM timing improvements? I'm not familiar with benchmarks or detailed stats yet, but any guidance would be appreciated. My main goal is to achieve top performance for gaming and rendering 4K videos, though I'm open to suggestions beyond hardware changes.

Do you still have the 4790k? If yes, it’s now the top CPU choice for gaming over the 6600k thanks to its eight threads. Pair it with a 1080ti and you’ll get smooth 2021 gameplay without stutters, plus quicker video editing.
unfortunately i do not, and it seems you're recalling a 4790k to 5gHz range.
This installation worked even with Prime 95 (took about 20 minutes), but failed on Cinebench R15 using a 4.8Ghz RAM at 1.54v and 3.9Ghz cache. It crashed on a 4.6Ghz system with 1.355v and 3.9Ghz cache. A 4.6Ghz setup completed Cinebench but crashed again with 4.5Ghz cache. After several attempts, it finally booted and finished Cinebench and RealBench, though Prime 95 pushed temperatures to 95°C—something I hadn't noticed before and stopped the process.
