The lights on the motherboard activate when the PSU switch is engaged, yet pressing the power button doesn’t trigger any response. The board now displays rapid light flashes and there’s no fan activity when I use the on-mobo power button.

Request more details about the complete specifications. Share what methods you've already attempted. Confirm all connections are accurate. Consider using a tool like a screwdriver or metal object to interrupt the power pins and test activation.

The motherboard includes its own power button, so I attempted that. Initially, pressing it produced a click. After connecting power and turning on the PSU switch, the motherboard lights flashed on and off, but the power button and clear CMOS button didn’t respond. I reconnected all the PSU cables.

5900x 3080 fe 32gb ram x570 taichi motherboard with waterproof connectors. 1000 watt power adapter. No additional RGB illumination inside the case activates while the PSU is running, only the motherboard lights up.

I noticed a click... possibly from the button you pressed or the PSU? Could be a protection system activating.

It seems to come from either the Mobo or PSU. There are no post codes on the Mobo, yet it’s getting power. I also attempted to re-seat the RAM.

Ensure your RGB/aRGB connections are correctly aligned and not reversed. A quick check of each linkage helps confirm proper placement (most components include secure tabs or prongs to prevent misplacement).

I just checked the power supply using a jumper, and everything turned on after applying all RGB settings. It seems like the motherboard might be failing.

I attempted to boot the system using just the rgb cable disconnected. All other pcie devices were also unplugged. Verified every mbo cable and shook the case to listen for any shorted pins.

If it's stuck and causing a short, it's unlikely to release. Take apart the entire system and check the mainboard separately from the case. As it comes with an AMD board, a BIOS update might be necessary for proper function.
