System is operational following the BIOS update to version f40 2. The latest updates were applied in order: f32 v then f40 v, according to Gigabyte's website. No problems encountered thus far.

The chipset can't be altered. The simplest approach is to install an older CPU that supports B450 (first or second generation Ryzen). If it's an MSI or certain ASUS boards, you might find a BIOS flashback feature that allows updating the BIOS without replacing the CPU entirely. I returned it from my nearby computer store where I purchased it. They updated it, but they needed a second-generation Ryzen to start the BIOS (though the first-gen works too). Two BIOS updates were completed: one was f32v and another f40v. There’s a new BIOS update available called AGESA v41v.
there’s only one option—install a previous Ryzen Gen CPU to start up and refresh the BIOS. Our board can’t handle backflashing, unlike most MSI boards, but we don’t have Gigabytes mobos.
