You're struggling with the shadows in Far Cry 4, making it nearly impossible to see anything. The game appears completely black in the forest areas, even though you can see the town clearly on screenshots. You've tried adjusting settings like ultra preset and changing the AO method, but nothing helps. You've restarted the computer, checked the game cache, updated drivers, and used two GTX 780 GPUs in SLI, yet the issue persists. Could you give me more details or try a different approach? Thanks!

This problem affects many users. My shadows work fine, but Soft Shadows are not.

Also, I've experimented with soft shadows from the lowest levels, but it didn't make any difference.

Can't get the game to launch even after countless attempts and troubleshooting; maybe I should switch to a console since this PC gaming mess keeps happening. Also, consider turning off shadows in the settings and updating to version 1.2.0 if you haven't already.

SLI remains a challenge for Far Cry 4, as it isn't fully compatible yet. Although NVIDIA has backed the project and labeled Ultra as a preferred setting, AMD still struggles to display the game as effectively.

You're hoping for a solution before the problem is resolved. (if it gets fixed)

Absolutely, I'm currently running version 1.3.0 and navigating through the consoles. It's a bit overwhelming with all the recent changes in these systems.

It's not an SLI problem since I have SLI support with the GTX 770 active, and it works well for Shadows.

They plan to handle it through micro transactions soon. I expect they’ll resolve the issue. This isn’t related to AMD; they usually reduce AMD performance to boost NVIDIA scores initially, so fixing it should be quick.

hmmmm. could you possibly give me a screenshot of your game with shadows in the screen? And I'm curious if it could have something to do with 780, but that wouldn't really make since, seeing as we are on the same architecture.
